PUSD Parent Portal FAQ’s

What is Parent Portal?

The parent portal allows you a secure connection to PUSD information about your child that you can access safely and securely anytime, anywhere.

I don’t have a computer.  How can I access the Parent Portal?

You can access parent portal through a smartphone with internet connection.

I don’t have an email account.  How can I access the Parent Portal?

The majority of smartphones have an email account associated with the phone.  You can use the email address associated with your smartphone or you can create a free email account through any email provider such as google's gmail service.

What do I do if I don’t have a verification code (VPC)?

Please go to your child’s school office and submit a Parent Portal Access form.  School staff will verify your identification and provide you with your Verification code.  To protect student privacy, we cannot provide verification codes over the phone or via email.

What information can I view on Aeries Parent Portal?

Parents will have access to daily attendance, report cards, gradebooks, assignments, test scores and much more.

My child lives in two different households where each parent retains educational rights.  Will each parent get separate Verification (VPC) codes?

No, parents can each create their own Parent Portal account (if there are no restraining orders in place) using their personal email address.  Parents MUST come to an agreement on the information provided to the school. Each parent should update their own contact information to insure accuracy in the event of an emergency

Do parents need to create a parent portal account every year?

No, this is a one time process.  If you have another child entering the district, you will be able to add them to your existing parent portal account.  Please note, you will need to complete the Data Confirmation process for each student linked to your parent portal account each year.

I forgot my password, what should I do?

On the main login page, there is a link called “Forgot Your Password?”.  Click on the link and input the email address you use to login. Follow the instructions and you will receive an email with a link to click on allowing you to reset your password.  If you do not receive the email within 10-20 minutes, be sure to check your spam/junk folder.

My Email address has changed or will be changing. How do I go about changing my parent portal account to my new email address?

You may change your email address (which serves as your user id and login) by logging into the portal and clicking on your email address in the right hand corner. Simply click on the “Change Email” link and follow directions.

I have more than one child that attends different schools in the District; do I have to create multiple accounts?

Parents only need one account, all children can be linked to the same parent account once you have submitted the Parent Portal Access form and been verified at each child’s school.  The verification code (VPC) is unique to each student so you will need to visit each child’s school.

I am not able to generate my child's State Test Scores Report, what do I do?

This may be due to your internet browser's site settings being set to block pop-ups from opening by default for the Aeries Parent Portal. Aeries and PUSD recommend using Google Chrome as your preferred browser to access the Parent Portal as the developers designed Aeries to be most compatible with Chrome. To check Chrome's site settings if pop-ups are being blocked, log into the Parent Portal and click the small "lock" icon to the left of the URL at the top of the page, look for the option, "Pop-ups and redirects" and make sure it is set to "Allow". You may need to log out and log back in after making this change before attempting to access/generate the test scores report.
