Dual Language Parent Advisory Committee (DLPAC)

Mission

The mission of the Dual Language Parent Advisory Committee is to:

  • Assist and partner with school site leader to evaluate and develop curriculum across grade levels PreK-5th
  • Review and analyze assessment data (Level Chinese and AAPPL) to identify areas of need
  • Discuss with school site leader to determine best practices and strategies for MDLIP (such as improving literacy, improving pronunciation, improving fluency of conversation, etc.)
  • Help to pilot strategies developed
  • Assist in expansion and implementation of successful pilots to other classrooms, under guidance of school site leader
  • Help organize some community cultural events, such as, but not limited to, sister-school visits or poetry competition.
  • Advocate for the needs of MDLIP to PUSD
